The Prime Minister of Australia, Kevin Rudd, announced government will support for the nomination and in December 2008 the Federal Minister for Sport Kate Ellis announced that the government would give the FIFA 45.6 million dollars for preparation. Rudd had a meeting with Joseph Blatter to agree on government support to headquarters in July 2009 (Pascoe, 2009). In the 58th FIFA Congress held in Sydney, the FIFA president Sepp Blatter has suggested that Australia will focus on organizing the World Cup in 2022, but Lowy said that Australia would be better to organize the 2018 World Cup (Silkstone, 2009). Previously, Australia has organized several major soccer events such as World Cup U-20 twice, 1981 and 1993, also the football tournament as part of the Olympic Games in Melbourne 1956 and Sydney 2000. Australia has hosted the Nations Cup OFC in 1998 and 2004. Similarly, Australia has hosted major sporting events like the Rugby World Cup 2003, the Commonwealth Games in 2006 and prepares for the 2015 Asian Cup football (Walter, 2010).

The main data collection tool which will be used for this research is internet. People who are interested in Football will be sent the survey and interview questionnaire via e-mail and they will be required to send back their answers over e-mail. Another data collection tool will be used for this research is phone. For collecting secondary research materials, various online libraries, newspapers, libraries will be used.
