The research is to be carried out over one term in two different educational institutes from the post graduate level. Five different sections will be studied along with five different educational leaders. For Canadian institutions, the universities, U OF T, Ryerson, York, and George Brown College are categorized to be studied. Upon waiting on approval and confirmation of the institute, one of these organizations will be picked to study. For Chinese institutions, the Jiangsu University is selected to carry out the case study. Approximately 50 to 100 students will be studied to gain correct results for the case study.

There should be several separate case studies. The case study should be segmented in accordance with the segments of the population to be surveyed. The first should target the people within one of the two education systems. Thus, meaning people working in the field of education. This will include anyone and everyone in a position of authority and responsibility with in the education system. The people will provide valuable insight in to the internal workings of the system. These people who include policy makers, teachers, administrators, and even educational psychologists are the best eligible to answer questions and provide us with an understanding on the working of the systems.  In addition to the questionnaires these people should also be interviewer for these people are the most highly qualified to answer questions related to education. What are hallmarks, how it is important, what are the ways in which transformational leadership is different in the two nations, in which ways it is alike. The interviews should be objective yet exhaustive. They should be designed to elicit responses on all aspects of the classrooms in China and in Canada. The professional who answer these questions from both education systems will perhaps offer us the most information of any other
