This particular corrective action of hers was performed because she was aware about the disease and the impact on an individual’s life. So when she knew the predictable actions and external factor of possibly influencing her children’s lives, she took some steps to prevent it. This indicates that when people are developed and made aware about the circumstances and the possible extent of the impacts, they become equipped with that knowledge, though ill-informed, but they develop certain characteristics of a predictable action when confronted with the same situation again. She is sometimes seen to be very eccentric in her behaviour when she stops at her window and just keeps thinking and then suddenly performs an act contradictory to silence which is expected after her thinking. This kind of behaviour is indicative of an imbalance in the decision making processes of Rosa and her inability to stretch her mind to a significant level beyond her own limits of thinking. This is also inferring to the psychodynamic theory model of thinking which states that Rosa Lee had a different set of problems in her life.

This is a fundamental belief of this kind of theory in which people think that their problems are unique, even though they might be similar or even smaller than some other serious problems being faced by someone else (Borden, 2009). Moreover, the theory of psychodynamics is based on the idea of adaptation in which the individual learns to adapt to a new situation which was unknown to him and then readily accepts it as a natural occurrence. This makes the individual to adopt new behaviours which demands new actions in specific circumstances. For example, when Rosa became a drug addict, her behaviour changed to a new set which was more eccentric and wired in some manner though insightful at times. Before her being a drug addict, the behaviour was not the one which was after getting addicted to drugs, indicating that the new set of circumstances has demanded a new set of disciplined behaviours which soon became habitual and spontaneous in such situations. The psychodynamic theories mostly observe the core feelings of the individual, and focuses on the primary relationship and subconscious processes. Rosa’s actions were coming from the subconscious when she just wanted to feed the drug in her mouth and often used to take the help of her daughter Pattyin placing the drug in her mouth. Such behaviours can be considered to be coming from the subconscious because she will use whatever in front of her to fulfil her wish of injecting the drug in her mouth without thinking about the circumstances of such acts on her and her daughter.
