The people try to adopt a dominating language that they assume would lead to a better position of safety in the company. These forms of defensive lines of communication lead to the formation of more issues that solution for productivity (McQuail and Windahl, 2015).

Each person in the company tries to explain their importance and focus on self-preservation instead of focusing on the solutions. Research has indicated that defensive communication does not lead to anything positive in the company.
