It is estimated that by the year 2050, it would account for 6.3 billion dollars. The burden of chronic conditions such as Parkinson disease would become even more pronounced in the future (Kowal et al., 2013). Currently, there is research undertaken to prevent, delay onset and progression of the disease. There are many innovative techniques that have been derived to alleviate the symptoms of Parkinson diseased and other kind of neurodegenerative diseases. Parkinson will cause loss of workers, increase financial burden and will be detrimental to the overall economic system of the country (Kowal et al., 2013). In reality, there is no cure for this condition. There can only be measures taken to alleviate the symptoms once it has been developed. Owing to this, the costs involved in the medical care are found to be huge (Kowal et al., 2013). Currently, no real strategies have been proposed that can effectively deal with this condition. Hence, it is considered to be a major impact on the health care system of this country.
Obesity impact to the health care system
There has been rising levels of obesity in the health care system. These costs are estimated to increase in the coming decades due to inflation and employment costs involved in the hospital care settings. The usage of obesity drugs has also been on the rise in the recent times (Cawley, & Meyerhoefer, 2012). This has led to the increase in costs owing to the health care system in general. Another study was undertaken to understand about the adult obesity trends in the country. It has been estimated by the year 2030, there will be a 33% of increase in the obesity prevalence in the country (Finkelstein et al., 2012). This is only estimated to go higher. The 33% are only conservative number. This is expected to cause further impediment for the health care cost in the country (Finkelstein et al., 2012). The impact of obesity is expected to be on the rise and cause a major impeding factor for the providing of holistic care to the people (Finkelstein et al., 2012).
