In spite of the obvious issues the whistleblowers face, they choose to speak against the companies. The reasons some people decide to report against the company are that they believe they are acting in the best interests of the company (Painter-Morland & Bos, 2011). The whistleblowers usually use all the avenues provided by the company to resolve this issue privately and make sure they have done the due process in order to resolve the solution amicably (Near et al, 2011). In many of these cases the management chooses to ignore the advices of the whistleblower or might coerce them to comply with the wrong deeds (Vinten, 1994). The companies choose to involve themselves in illegal acts after prior warnings by the whistleblower. Many business organizations claim to empower their employee (Schwartz, 2000), however some rights for ethics protection of the company is still denied to them. In such instance, the whistle-blower will have no choice but to report the illegal activities in order to save the victims. If the whistleblower foresees grave endangerments to some people, they have no choice but to come forward against the organizations (Fisher et al, 1999).

The whistleblowers also garner enough evidence about the company before coming forward against the company. The evidence should be in such a way that the prosecution must be able to implicate the parties (Bok, 1980). There is always an ethical dilemma involved in this process as it is a question of loyalty to company versus working in the best interests of the company (Duska, 1997), even the experts are trying to decipher the ethical dilemma associated with it (Bowie, 1982). The people who want to come forward hesitate at the beginning owing to these factors. Some people decide to report about the actions of the company anyway to serve the greater good (Beauchamp et al, 2004). The act of whistle-blowing will aid a lot of entities; it may not serve the individuals who are coming forward and their interests. The whistle blowers have substantial proof usually when they decide to report about the company’s wrongdoings.
