The natural voice and the potential it has is what we had when we took birth in this world. Like it is said, each of us like fingerprints has one kind of voice and the voice which I have is different from every other voice which I have heard till now. My voice has its own quality; the tonal color, timbre and a different texture which sets it apart from others. After listening to my voice again and again, I came to realize the various aspects of my voice which was unknown to me till now. According to my analysis, I believe my voice has a clear articulation, as when I speak I ensure there is a proper movement of my jaw, lips, tongue and velum. My articulation is not as sharp as it should be but it is very peculiar and distinctive. An unobtrusive pronunciation is regarded as one of the good qualities of a voice and I believe this is something which I need to work on. Being from a Chinese background I still struggle a bit with the pronunciation of English words. Even a single mispronounced word leaves a bad impact on the listener and hence for my voice to be effective I must work on this.
