There are two main research approaches for conducting a research. They are qualitative and quantitative research. For instance the research report by Hill (2005) makes use of qualitative research since the aim of the researcher is to find out the impact of company weblogs on the behavior of consumers. Since this research intends to investigate the role of blog as a tool for marketing and communication, the researcher has undertaken a qualitative research with fifteen respondents from various parts of the world. This research makes use of interview as data collection technique through emails since the primary respondents are distributed across the world. Thus, in any empirical research, selection of appropriate research technique is essential in finding proper answers to research questions within the epistemological limitations.
