Namely the PESTEL, these factors contribute to the most basic dynamics of a business organisation:
a) Political: The political structure of a region greatly influences the company formation and growth (Benson, Bugnitz and Walton, 2004). The stability of the governing body, the policies taken up for taxations, trade and commerce relationship built with foreign countries (its nature, pros and cons), and the welfare policies for the society helps to decide how favourable a region would be for a particular business to flourish.
b) Economic: Monetarily, how favourable a region stands from the perspective of ongoing business cycles, the interest rates levied, and unemployment, Foreign Direct Investment (inward and outward) and inflation. Economic stability is of utmost importance for the very basis of a company (Hoskisson, Hitt and Ireland, 2009). The weaker its foundation, the more is the business prone to suffer.
