The pricing of the product is based on theory of supply and demand. There are many factors that are associated with this theory. The future reserves of the product also play an important role in determination of the prices. There are a number of subjective factors that have been associated with the pricing of each product (Byrne, Fazio & Fiess, 2013). In this analysis, the pricing of the commodity cocoa has been analyzed in detail.
In this analysis, there will be detailed discussion of the supply curve, demand curve, market equilibrium and its impact on the US economy.
For this analysis, the case study Cocoa pricing as of August 29th 2016 has been analyzed. In the commodity trade analysis, it has been found that the price of the product had declines from 2.9% to $2927 per ton in the month of December (Cui, 2016). This is based on the ICE future pricing in the US exchange. This is attributed to the fact that there will be higher influx of this commodity. In West Africa, there have been optimal levels of rainfall owing to which the main crop production has increased. In the markets, the rising strength of the Dollar has put pressure on the commodity pricing of the product. In the past week alone, the net non-commercial trading contracts rose by 12000 contracts (Cui, 2016). Cocoa pricing has been a volatile commodity that has been dependent on the pricing of the product. The future market prediction of the compound has been positive. There will be increase in the market supply of the product. It has been predicted that the future reserves of the product will be higher. This has led to the increase in supply when the demand is expected to remain the same.
Based on this fact, the individual variable factors have been analyzed.
