During the financial year 2011, it was noticed that the complaints dropped by 3% during the period which helped Telstra to make a profit of around 10million AUD. On November 2008, Telstra submitted a non-complying proposal issued by Federal government of Australia for building a National Broadband Network but they were removed from the process as they did not follow the tender guidelines (John, 2011). On June, 2010, Telstra came to an agreement that they can participate in the National Broadband Network for A$11b but they need to de-commission the cooper and the HFC Broadband and they need to transfer all of their existing customers to the new NBN when it is completed. It made a loss of Telstra for around A$3b but they got a huge market through it and they can make more profit than their loss through the new customer base.
