如果我不介绍我的背景和我对高等教育的兴趣，我的大学申请就不完整了。我1999年出生在中国。我出生在中国山东省的一个小城市。我在这里上学，然后搬到了美国。三年前，我和父母一起搬家，因为我父亲在美国有很多生意。我的父亲是一个非常勤奋的人，他觉得勤奋和工作质量比别人更重要。我的家人，包括我的母亲和我的兄弟姐妹，都灌输我想要熟练地工作的愿望。我相信这是我跟随父母在美国继续接受教育的原因之一。当我来到这里的时候，我感到很不舒服，因为美国和中国的文化差异很大，很难适应新的生活环境。然而，就我们如何看待工作和质量而言，我认为我们是一样的。

我相信这种联系是我想向大学委员会提出的，因为我的这一背景在困难时期帮助了我。当我面临社会化问题，认识新朋友的时候，我就能利用这种理解，比如我们国家的努力工作是如何相似的，希望其他类似的价值观。在我的思想中，这种价值观的联系自然而然地就产生了友谊，感情和与同学的亲密关系等等。我发现更容易让我的警卫和我的同学们混在一起。我相信这个学习能让我接受大学教育，因为它让我明白，任何新的东西都可以映射到我们已经知道的东西上，没有什么让我感到不舒服的。

My University application would not be complete if I do not present my background and my interests for higher education. I was born in China in 1999. I was born in a small city in Shandong province, China. I did my primary years of schooling here and then I moved to The United States. I made my move three years ago with my parents as my father has many businesses in the United States. My father is a very hard working person who feels diligence and quality in work take precedence over others. My family, including my mother and my siblings have inculcated in me the desire to work skillfully. I believe this was one of the reasons I followed my parents to continue my education in the United States with hope. When I got here I did feel so uncomfortable because the United States and China have big differences between their culture, and it is difficult to adapt to the new living environment. However, in terms of how we think of work and quality, I believe we are the same.

I believe this connection is something that I would like to present to the University committee as this background of mine helped motivate me in difficult times. When I faced issues in socialization and got to know new friends, I was able to use this understanding of how values such as hard work is similar in our countries to hope other values which are similar. Friendship, affection and bonding with my class mates etc. came naturally once this values connection was made in my mind. I found it easier to let my guard down and mingle with my fellow students. I believe this learning preps me for a University education, as it makes me understand that anything new to be learned can be mapped onto what we already know and there is nothing to feel uncomfortable with.
