Benefits of proposed research methods
The deductive approach and the inductive approach are the two major approaches to any research study. Naturally the two approaches are different. They differ on principle. One is quantitative research and one is qualitative research. Ideally both methods should be used in conjunction. However some cases call for a particular method of research. As is the case in this research study. Quantitative research has certain benefits. The best benefit is that it produces research that is scientific. It results in information that is trustworthy. The information is logical and well structured and comprehensive. Furthermore the research can be taken and it can be applied to great number of general situations. Quantitative research allows for large amount of data to be gathered and represented. Whatever the results of quantitative research one can rest assured that the results are accurate and true. The trustworthiness of well carried out quantitative research is never in question. Quantitative research allows for the development of a holistic view on a situation or question. (Fountas & Pinnell, 2001)
Data Collection
Data collection will be somewhat a difficult process. For optimal data collection we will need to seek the permission of institutions in both Canada and in China to access information on their operations. Primary data collected from the institutions will remain confidential. The interviews can be given the right to remain anonymous should the interviewee so choose. The data will be published mainly in the form of statistics. (Dane, 1990)
