Che Guevara’s revolution is now history, communism has almost died and most of the people think of Cuba as just another island in Atlantic. People do not know the circumstances in which the photograph was taken. This picture was taken at the funeral of one hundred and thirty six soldiers. The environment was gloomy, sad and was full of anger. However the picture does not bring out even one of the mentioned expressions. Hence it is very rightly said that the photograph only shows the things which people see and not the intent behind the picture (Flusser, 2013). For the crowd this picture is just another picture of a “very handsome man”. People think that the young handsome person whom they see on the T-shirt has certain mystic qualities which are appealing. Some people even think that the picture is depiction of Jesus Christ. This iconic picture has become a valuable piece of fashion photography but little do the people know about the circumstances in which this photograph was taken. Wearing Che Guevara’s T-shirt is fashion and hence it is admired by the public. This photograph of Che Guevara has become a fashion statement. The photograph only shows a young man with a mystic appearance. Ironically, this photo was taken when there was chaos all around, more than hundred people had died and Che Guevara was attending the funeral.
