On our way back home, I and my mother went on to visit the Bronte Heritage Park, which was one of the biggest parks in the town. During the Christmas time, the park is usually decorated for the purpose of local and foreign tourists. We went to the park and bought some chocolates and pastries from the stalls of The Danish Pastry House. I bought lots of white chocolates and cakes with an anticipation to enjoy it with the gift which I would be receiving from Santa Claus. I enjoyed myself in the park and then we both returned home and I indulged myself with the task of decorating my room with an anticipation to make it attractive that Santa Claus should not miss to give me gifts. I felt as if the world is my oyster and started embellishing my room. My father really helped me a lot to complete all the decorations on time as it was really difficult for me to complete the decoration before going to church.

In the evening, I and my parents went to the St. Jude’s Anglican Church to pray and welcome Jesus to the world. I was really excited to see the decorations and lightings that were put up on the streets. I felt as if the sky is full of dancing stars. However, as time passed and night approached, I became very excited to feel that Santa could come to any point of time from the chimney to give me a gift. I went into my room eagerly waiting with no sleep in my eyes and my mouth was as dry as a bone. However, suddenly in the midst of darkness, I saw my father crouching in my room with a packet in his hand which he deliberately put it near my Christmas tree. I really did not understand why my father instead of Santa was giving me the gift. Profound sadness covered me and I felt as if the tales of Santa were hoax and truth seemed far away from my anticipation. I sensed that I was deceived by my parents and Santa Claus.
