Violence has been associated with men since ages during the times of wars, battles and how victory meant to boost their ego and build their confidence (arrogance). This aggression is natural for men to harbour and comes out at distinctive times when the time demands or when it has to come out naturally to unburden oneself from the feeling and neutralise other thoughts. Violence is one of the ways of showing the power of masculinity and how they visually feel superior and demand similar treatment from the opposite gender(Neale, 1983). In addition, from the movie it is seen that men do not like to talk about masculinity but prefer displaying it to the world about their self-declared superiority. This very attitude is inherent to men and can be traced back psychologically to how men and women behave in general and in specific situations. By showing physical strength, men feel as if it is the display of their masculine nature which by itself is assumed to be superior to femininity(Craine & Aitken, 2004). Thus, men in the movie have been seen to be displaying masculinity with the opportunities of fights when presented. In addition, the starting scene of a man having testicular cancer who was left behind with others, when one of the men’s wife had a baby with another man were displayed, the tension of crisis in the masculinity of men in the room was clear and build the aggression of proving their worth. Such scenes have shown the crisis to a significant level that men are being shown to be stripped off their last hanging right, masculinity. The masculinity possessed by men is the most precious element of their identity which they do not want to lose, and the movie somehow manages to show the same and the consequences of losing that identity. In another scene, when the soft light is focused on these crying men and a bright light focused on the America flag behind, it displays the deteriorating worth of men and how they gulp and digest the intangible discrimination experienced. These sequences show the crisis in American male and the dire consequences that take shape in these internally bruised men. The aggression shown in the fight is not the result of a small or a regular boycott or discrimination, but it resembles a pile of singular and independent events of outright discrimination, hitting the self-esteem of these men on face, and boycotting outright.
