This is a qualitative study examining the tattoo phenomenon. It is increasingly seen that more and more people involving all age groups are tattooing. This research will examine the individual’s motivations in relation to the management of the tattooing. Popular culture of Hong Kong is examined that is leading to the tattooing. The use of mobile apps in tattooing is examined and how the perceptions of people of Hong Kong will be shaped with regards to the mobile apps in tattooing. This study’s result shows the motivations that are emotional in combination with considerations that are practical leads to tattooing. The mobile app for tattooing is rarely found in Hong Kong, although the people of Hong Kong are very excited about it.
This paper will conduct primary as well as secondary research to find out the extent to which communication is carried out by the tattooed individuals, particularly the young people of Hong Kong. The basis of the communication is through sharing of ideas and information. The communication and interaction among the youths of Hong Kong takes place through a mobile app designed specifically for tattoo communication. The famous tattooists are involved and the interaction among people will find place in this app. The user of the app will also get all the information about tattoo from around the world through it, as it is almost like a digital magazine tailor made for information about the tattoos.
This research will be invaluable for the app to be commercially successful. The primary research will find out the extent to which young people of Hong Kong have interest in tattooing. It will also find out how much the youths of Hong Kong need a mobile app that is specifically intended for tattoos and tattooing. The taste and preferences of the Hong Kong youths related to tattooing can also be found out from primary and secondary research. The trends that are shaped in the current time and forecasting of the trend towards the future can be deciphered from the primary and secondary research. The research can also be invaluable for other startup ventures that have been contemplating for similar apps related to the tattooing.
