It is the process of distinguishing the applicants to identify and hire those with a greater likelihood of success. The selection process in human resource management includes the steps such as taking preliminary interviews, arranging and taking selection tests, taking the formal interview, checking backgrounds, making selection decision, conducting the physical examination and offering job etc (Foot, Hook and Jenkins 2016). To begin the process of selection, the HR of an organization has to arrange preliminary interviews. These interviews are aimed at rejecting the unfit candidates and selecting the fit candidates for the next round of selection process.
