Energy is one of the key issues that has an impact on the overall performance. Most of the fast food style restaurants like Taco Bell optimize on speed. In order to ramp up on speed and serve customers fast, most of the equipment such as the heaters for fillings in the dishes have to be powered up continuously. Some of this warming, grilling and cooking equipment’s cost the restaurants a lot in terms of energy costs. When operational costs go up, the associated product costs also are driven up.
