The concept of leadership can be essentially elaborated as the intrinsic qualities in an individual, consisting of a set of practical skills, thereby aiding the organisational management to perform their functions in an organised manner and achieve the targeted objectives of the respective company. In the light of this context, the Mintzberg had identified several intrinsic leadership qualities, which are manifested in a successful leader. A leader is a figurehead responsible for the allocation of the organisational activities and the resources such that the formulated business objectives are effectively executed (Northouse, 2015). He is the spokesperson of the management. The leader is liable for motivating the subordinate employees so that they deliver their best output in the organisation. In this way, it is possible for the leader to enhance the company’s overall productivity by increasing the individual performance of its skilled workforce(Hoch & Kozlowski, 2014). He is the negotiator and encourages team work in an organisation such that the management values and integrity are upheld. By integrating transformational and transactional leadership style, it is possible for the company to achieve its desired success and sustain its comparative edge in the existing market.

In fact, the transformational and the transactional leaders are together responsible for ensuring a successful business transaction.
