Thus, motivated employees would have higher productivity and would be able to discharge their tasks with greater efficiency (Nagin, Rebitzer, Sanders, & Taylor, 2002). Motivation must come from within the employee and managers to help in influencing the employees to be self motivated and thus discharge their duties in the best possible manner.
