Throughout this case study, it has been analyzed that human resources in the company are a source of sustainable competitive advantage. Throughout this paper, we have analyzed the different approaches of SHRM based on the recent contributions of the strategic management of human resources in the company. In addition, the relationship of Ryanair’s business strategy with different approaches of the human resource management were analyzed and linked, to better understand and solve the case. The study has also explored patterns of human resource management in Ryanair and the relationship they have with other elements such as the organizational context of the institution and the financial performance of Ryanair in comparison to other airlines in the industry.
As discussed earlier, different models of the human resource management have been studied in this paper with reference to two major dimensions of analysis: first is the extent to which human resource management in the Ryanair, measured by its scope, and second, management practices and tools used in the process of human resources management in Ryanair.
Finally, after the in-depth analysis of such dimension, few recommendations have been raised for Ryanair in order to better deal with the current situation and the environment.
