Rosa Lee when seen concerned about their children getting addicted to drugs and Patty and Bobby being HIV positive, is really being human, because a natural thinking about being concerned about an individual due to their getting attached to a habit which is destructive is humanistic in nature. Her behaviour when she is getting addicted to drug by living in a location which is full of drug addicts and getting influenced by them is in some way also considered natural and humanistic. This is because her dominant amount of time was spent in the neighbourhood which was nurturing destructive thoughts and actions, and being continuously in such an environment and being with such people will always have some sort of influence on her. Her behaviour was more natural and normal when considered through this theory because what is being sown is what is being reaped in the future and her company with drug addicts was certain for her to adopt that habit sooner or later. Her actions and behaviour was more uncontrolled from her conscious effort but more controlled through external actions and influences, indicating that the less aware an individual is about the external factors which has the potential to influence the more uncertain the life of the individual becomes (Schneider and Krug, 2010).

Thus, Rosa was not seen to be consciously taking any decision, but she was more a puppet being influenced by the neighbourhood influence, the people’s influence, etc. and these factors unknowingly set their place in Rosa’s mind and she soon became one of them. Even when viewing the behaviour through a humanistic approach, it is evident that when there is something that is unaware by the individual which is going to influence, it is just possible to predict the action from a humanistic approach which is a natural action theory under which all individuals are expected to perform. Thus, Rosa Lee is motivated to perform certain actions like opting for bold colours of earrings, dresses, and other accessories which are often overlooked by a normal human who would consider it as over the board. The reason behind the action can be attributed to the environment she has lived in and the development of her mind set by being confined within the area which has a typical behaviour expectation. Humanistic approach is also dependent on the development of a humane theory which again comes from the observance of humans behaving and acting in specific and special circumstances (Bugental, Pierson and Schneider, 2001). Rosa was human enough to be concerned about her children and often wanted them to earn for themselves and not to spend the money on drugs, but she has been on the human side when she requests her children to stop being involved and illicit sex and keep away from drug intake. This does not require a theory to explain because it is natural expected of her. So being humanistic is a natural gift and it is often mistaken to be a part of a more complex theory of explanation, but the fact is that such theory is very simple and predictable among majority of humans.
