There are two types of tumors of Adrenal glands that are quite a less common cause of hypertension (Kumar, Abbas, Fausto, 1999). The adrenal glands reside on the top of kidneys. Both of the tumors produce huge amount of adrenal hormones that can cause high blood pressure. There are some diagnosis methods that are used to diagnose those tumors. These tumors can often cause hypertension and it might lead to death. Mr. Underhill might have been suffered from that.
So, as we can see from the case, there might be numerous reasons for the death of Mr. and Mrs. Underhill. There are some important factors that can be responsible for the death is alcohol, Furosemide and the hot tub water. Both of Mr. and Mrs. Underhill had consumed huge amount of alcohol after a long tiring they while they decided to relax in the hot tub. The water of the hot tub is excessive hot which can reduce the blood pressure. The Furosemide is the medicine used to control high blood pressure. It is prescribed for the Furosemide users that the medicine should not be consumed in dehydrated condition. The death of Mr. Underhill can be caused due to the consumption of Furosemide in dehydrated body. It might have reacted with alcohol as they have consumed a huge amount of wine and it might result their death. Kidney failure can also be considered as another reason for their health as the blood circulation can be affected due to the dehydration and kidney and adrenal gland might not be able to receive sufficient amount of blood. It can cause death.
