There might be some major decisions that should be taken after taking open expression of all the team members individually and this work must be done by the team leader (Dierendonck & Groen, 2008). This has been stated by Belbin too in his theory of team role. All senior members should participate in SMT meetings and each of the team members should provide their opinions and views about the performance of different teams in the meeting. This part of Wallace and Hall theory also differs from Belbin’s theory. Belbin’s theory of team role says that only the team leaders will be present in the meeting between different departments within an organization but this is not supported by the theory of Wallace and Hall. The hypothesis of Wallace and Hall states that there should be higher degree of trust, mutual respect and cordiality among members of senior management team. Some steps should be taken by the team leader or top management to avoid the coalitions within the senior management team. This theory also differs from the Belbin’s theory. Belbin’s theory states that all the team members should express their ideas to remove the coalitions within the team. The governing body of an organization should monitor the performance of all the team members and they should interfere on the performance of any team if they find anything inappropriate.
