As a result in the market the scientists prefer such tools so that a single instrument can solve various research issues. The clinical field is the biggest market for the lab on a chip technology but other fields like military defence is also one of the markets for this technology. The technology is being used to solve chemical and bioterrorism issues. The lab on a chip also has good position in the gadget markets where the technologies have been introduced and it is going quite well (Srinivasan, 2004). More and more companies are entering and promoting this technology because they feel that this technology can bring revolution by making the objects compact and multifunction.
There are two companies known as Soane Bioscience and Caliper Technologies Corp which are located at Northern California. These companies are involved in designing innovative lab on chips that can be useful in many ways and solve some of the issues in the field of medical sciences.
